Papa Shandy & The Drams mix the traditional with the modern to create an unforgettable set. Expect them to cover a wide range of genres from traditional folk to 90s dance hits whilst adding their own stamp.

These kilted up guys were a lot of fun at our Loch Fyne Hoolie two years ago and they are back again to belt out more classic traditional Scottish tunes for you all.

The Argyll Ceilidh Trail is five young, up-and-coming musicians showcasing their music across Argyll and the Isles over the summer. 

It all began in 2003 when pipe major Stuart Liddell MBE started teaching piping to the children of the Mid Argyll area. Starting with only 5 young talented pipers and 1 drummer, they built upon these foundations and in 2005, Inveraray and District Pipe Band was formed. Their first competition was in the Novice Juvenile grade at Cowal Games in August 2005 and then the next few years saw the band rise through the RSPBA Grades with unprecedented momentum and by 2009, the band were competing in the Grade 2 adult competitions. 2009 was a successful year for the band where they won all 5 major championships in Grade 2. This meant that they were automatically promoted to the top tier Grade 1. Since being promoted, the band has had much success with pipers and drummers from all over the world wanting to join the prestige band. Fast forward to 2017 when they reached their pinnacle and won the Worlds and became Champion of Champions in the same year. The band went on to win the Worlds for a second time in 2019.

The band hasn’t forgotten their roots and will be returning to Inveraray to play for the second time at our Loch Fyne Hoolie Festival. It will be a truly magnificent moment to witness the top class winning pipe band playing alongside the stunning views of Loch Fyne.
