Cherry Red ‘53 burst onto the scene in 2016, a dynamic three-piece outfit with a mission: revive the thunder, sweat, and swing of 1950s rock ‘n’ roll and electrify modern ears with its unrelenting energy.

Hailing from Scotland, the trio has become a torchbearer for authentic rockabilly, channelling the raw essence of that golden era while injecting a fresh jolt into contemporary classics.

The Line-Up

•    Neil McNaughton: Guitar and lead vocals—Neil’s twang-driven riffs and charismatic vocals set the tone for the band’s signature sound, channelling the best of vintage rock ‘n’ roll swagger with unmistakable flair.

•    Mark Cassidy: Drums and vocals—Driving each track with a tight, relentless beat, Mark brings both rhythm and harmony, underpinning the band’s sound with style and punch.

•    Enzo Menoni: Slap bass—With nimble fingers and boundless energy, Enzo’s upright slap bass thunders through every set, blending percussive rhythm with melodic swing in classic rockabilly tradition.

Rock Til U Drop is a jive and rock 'n' roll dance club based in Scotland, offering classes and social dances. They teach 1950s jive and are known for their professional teaching and friendly atmosphere. The club is run by Ray and Nicky, a couple with over 34 years of professional experience teaching together.
