Are your bedrooms and suites dog friendly?

All of our bedrooms are dog friendly as well as The Barn, The Pub, The Restaurant, Terrace, Garden Bar and Cocktail Bar.

Is there a charge?

There is no extra charge for bringing your dog to stay at The George Hotel.

A more intensive clean is undertaken however we have decided to continue to provide this service free of charge. If your pet damages or stains furniture or finishings in the room we reserve the right to cover any associated cost of repair or cleaning.

Please advise reception that you will be bringing your dog upon booking.

Staff went the extra mile...

Been eating in The George for many years, Food is top class, staff and staff went the extra mile for us including our dogs, many establishments could learn a lot from this Hotel.

Plenty dog treats!

Very friendly staff. Food very good with a warm relaxing atmosphere. All staff were brilliant with the dog giving plenty dog treats and even a couple of sausages on the house.

Fussed over our dog.

Went in for a meal with our German Shepherd. The food was gorgeous, staff were friendly and fussed our dog. Worth a visit if in the area. Real oldie feel especially with the real fire going.

Would love to go back!

What a great place. Visited for a friend's birthday as it's their favourite place to go. Dined in both nights, food was lovely and reasonably priced.
I had my dog with me and I was able to take him to dinner, breakfast and the pub. I would love to go back.

Staff very attentive

We were there today with our little rescue dog. Staff very friendly & helpful when we asked for a quiet corner so our dog didn’t get scared. Fantastic meal & staff very attentive see you next year
